Cobblers Cove combines plantation architecture with modern Bajan charm on the white sands of Barbados’ west coast.

A graceful sanctuary to any discerning traveller, each of the 40 suites is tastefully and individually decorated to make the most of the surrounding tropical gardens and serene ocean. Spacious, air-conditioned and well-appointed, these breeze-cooled spaces spill out onto either a terrace or balcony and into the gardens and beachfront beyond.

There are many reasons to visit Cobblers Cove, however, one of them is surely The Camelot Restaurant. This restaurant is said by some to serve the finest food on the whole island, making it a real go-to destination for foodies. Chef Jason Joseph and his team truly know how to make the most of the freshest local produce.

NB: Between January and February children staying at the resort must be 12 years or over.

These 500 square foot suites are set just yards from the oceanfront, affording stunning Caribbean Sea views. Look out at your own Caribbean horizons, as the sun dips below the water. Waves lap at the seashore only metres from your suite. Landscaped patios or terraces lead from the indoors out, making for lazy days spent reclining in lounge chairs, taking in those views.

Situated on the top floor of the Great House’s southern turret, the Colleton suite connects back to the current owners’ ancestors. Across 1,780 square foot of space, this gracious suite is luxuriously appointed with respect to this old colonial plantation house. A sumptuous four-poster sits amongst light colours, hand-painted furniture and a grey marble bathroom. Enjoy a double shower room and bath. French doors lead out to a roof terrace with a plunge pool and sea views.

Watersports

Enjoy an amazing variety of complimentary watersports, such as waterskiing, paddleboarding or sailing (you are entitled to a complimentary lesson each day). All the activities on offer include waterskiing, banana boat rides, tubing, snorkelling, kayaking, sunfish sailing, paddle boarding, scuba diving, island fishing and sailing. Whether you want furious fun atop the waves or a more slow and relaxed communion with what lies beneath, the watersports team can help you enjoy Barbados’ wonderful waters.

Sport & Fitness

Tennis, cricket, golf and gym are all available. Knock a ball about with a friend, or take lessons on your serve from a pro, on the tennis courts. Cricket is big in the West Indies. Master the sport at the Frank Stephenson Academy during your stay.

Enjoy some of the finest golf courses on the island, including Apes Hill and Royal Westmorland, booked by your concierge. If you want to maintain your fitness routine whilst away, check in to the well-equipped gym, where yoga classes on the beach, pilates and aerobics classes can also be arranged upon request.

Excursions

Swim with the magnificent Hawksbill turtles, native to these Bajan waters, or take to the seas on a luxury catamaran, a boat tour, or for a bit of sea fishing. If you prefer to keep your soles firmly rooted on solid ground, enjoy the astounding richness of the Bajan environment, touring many of the island’s gardens (such as Hunte’s Gardens, Andromeda Botanic Gardens and even our own well-curated, but smaller, gardens) with some keen horticulturalists. For a firmer understanding of Barbados’ history, head out with Michael Penna, Head of the National Trust, to get to grips with some of Barbados’ UNESCO sites

Cobblers Cove abides by the principles of the International Eco-Tourism Society. The resort is committed to supporting local workers such as artists, craftsmen and carpenters in its construction. The hotel's restaurants menus also incorporate high quality ingredients sourced from local farmers.

Use of single use plastic is restricted. The restaurants and bars use only paper straws for their drinks and no plastic is used for takeaway food. Room service is covered with a handwoven cane basket cover instead of plastic wrap.

The resort takes the step to provide cruelty-free products. Their range of toiletries are made in Barbados by St Lucy Botanists.
