Full accommodation information

Located atop a magnificent hillock overlooking the vast shimmering beauty of the Indian Ocean, Jetwing Lighthouse has built a reputation for being amongst the most iconic hotels found in Galle.

One of the cultural and historical capitals of Sri Lanka, the sea has provided Galle with a mesmerizing cultural tapestry populated by fascinating stories from the ancient spice trade all the way through to colonial invasions.

Only 15-minutes from Galle’s stunning 16th-century fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as the city’s restaurants, boutiques, rainforest treks, lowland tea estates, and Koggala Lake boat trips – the Jetwing Lighthouse hotel stands majestically atop a rugged outcrop of rock, with waves breaking on the rocks below.

Designed by legendary Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa and blending traditional and contemporary elements inspired by the surrounding area, from the sea the hotel looks like a ship waiting to launch from the headland, and from the land the building resembles a fort, with the main entrance nestled behind a rampart-like façade.

Inside the hotel itself, you will find the height of luxury and the home of Sri Lankan hospitality. With elegant, simple décor that uses rich woods and splashes of bright colour reflecting Sri Lankan scenery throughout the hotel, and a series of unique suites that boast either Chinese, Moroccan or colonial Dutch-inspired décor, Jetwing Lighthouse is something of a Sri Lankan style icon. Additionally, for a holistic holiday, Jetwing Lighthouse offers a number of wellness facilities, a fully equipped gym, and manicured gardens that play host to two swimming pools, a separate pool for children, and a blissful spa offering a selection of ancient Ayurvedic treatments and tropical therapies that refresh and revitalise your mind, body, and soul.

If that wasn’t enough to fuel your passion for a Sri Lankan getaway, Jetwing Lighthouse has cultivated a reputation for serving only the finest gastronomical delights in each of its five magnificent international restaurants. The hotel also places great importance on their green initiatives, with a strong focus on both environmental and community activities and a commitment to creating a connective, eco-focused environment; something that’s very understandable when considering that the southern coastline of Sri Lanka is home to innumerable incredible species, including one of the largest resident blue whale populations in the world.

With a stunning waterfront setting and distinctive elegant design, the accommodation at Jetwing Lighthouse invites you to make yourself comfortable in the confides of one of 85 beautifully furnished Geoffrey Bawa designed guestrooms and suites. Most rooms feature private balconies, incredible views, modern amenities, and an enchanting ambiance.
