About me

Ever since I could remember, I’ve had a deep love for travel and exploring new places. I was fortunate enough to travel regularly with my family to parts of Europethe USA and Canada. So, I knew early on that travel would become a huge part of my life. After completing my degree and working for several years, I decided to embark on a round-the-world trip with two close friends. Our trip took us to Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and Fiji, before ending in New Zealand. What was meant to be a three-month trip ended up lasting five whole years. After staying on and working in New Zealand and Australia, I eventually moved back to the UK.

My travel specialism

My main travel specialist destinations are Australia and New Zealand. On my return to the UK, I started my career in travel selling tailormade holidays worldwide and have done so for just over 11 years now. During this time, I’ve had fantastic opportunities to travel to the Caribbean, Mexico, Mauritius, Europe, the USA and India.

My most memorable travel experience

Although it was never on my radar in the first place, an opportunity came up for an educational trip to India that I simply couldn’t turn down. I absolutely loved every minute of the experience, but the main thing that stood out was a hot air balloon ride over Jaipur at sunrise. Watching the sunrise over the countryside was just so peaceful. The hot air balloon would float above all the farms and the locals would wave at us as we drifted on by. It was such an unbelievable experience; one I’ll always remember.

My favourite destination: New Zealand

The pure natural beauty of New Zealand is incredibly inspiring, with a different breathtaking view around every corner! From the towering snow-capped peaks and bright blue glacial lakes of the Southern Alps to the beautiful rolling countryside, lush vineyards and untouched beaches, I love absolutely everything. In addition to adventure for adrenaline junkies and outdoor enthusiasts, it’s the perfect place to enjoy some of the world’s best luxury lodges, food and wine.

My favourite hotel: Capella Sydney

From the ultra-luxurious rooms to the soothing treatments at the beautiful Auriga Spa, Capella Sydney was a fabulous stay I’ll always be fond of experiencing. At the heart of the hotel, Aperture provides a mouth-watering breakfast – the best I’ve ever tucked into! Not only that, but the hotel is just steps away from the iconic Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. So, you can go from relaxing in glamourous ambience to exploring the city’s host of exceptional sights in no time!

Service commitment from you:

I pride myself on my attention to detail and making sure each holiday is the right fit for all my clients. Listening to and building rapport with people helps me to better understand what they like and dislike. I believe in giving the service that I would expect to receive myself if it were my own holiday.

Your top tips for travellers:

  • Wherever you go, always take a moment to absorb all the spectacular sights around you with your own eyes; don’t live life through the lens of your camera.
  • Always try to sample the local cuisine.
  • When flying to Ayers Rock from Melbourne, be sure to sit on the left-hand side of the aircraft to witness the breathtaking views of Ayer’s Rock while you’re landing.
