Inspired by the hit BBC series Death in Paradise, which was filmed in beautiful Guadeloupe, this tour combines sightseeing related to the show and a range of adventures designed to help you get the best of this spectacular location.

Guadeloupe is divided in two main islands, Basse-Terre and Grand Terre. This is a place of amazing natural beauty, rich in tropical flora and fauna and with countless species of wildlife present here that are found nowhere else. Escape to this secluded paradise – Guadeloupe’s closest neighbours are Monserrat and Dominica – and discover a laid-back island hideaway waiting to be explored.

Like all our suggested itineraries, this tour can be completely customised and tailored to suit you. Make it part of a Caribbean twin-centre and pair with a few days in Antigua or Dominica, or extend your adventure on Guadeloupe for even more exploration.

Itinerary

Arrive in Guadeloupe, via Charles de Gaulle. You'll be privately transferred from the airport to Langley Resort Fort Royal.
Spend today exploring Basse-Terre however you like. You might choose to soak up some Caribbean sun on the beach, hike to the lush rainforest, spend an adventurous day swimming in waterfalls, or even trekking around the island's volcano
Spend today touring the locations used in filming the BBC's Death in Paradise. You'll be picked up from your hotel to visit recognisable landmarks including Honoré Police station, Catherine’s Bar, Sainte Marie and La Kaz du Douanier in Deshaies.
Set out today for a deep rainforest adventure in Basse-Terre's National Park. After a soft hiking trail you'll be rewarded with jaw-dropping views of Carbet Waterfalls. After refueling with a delightful Creole lunch, visit a family-run rum distillery - the perfect place to pick up some souvenirs and enjoy a tasting (or two).
The next two days are free for you to explore. Our Travel Specialists will be happy to create an itinerary designed specifically for your interests. To make the most of Guadeloupe's tropical beauty, we recommend visiting the Botanical Garden at Deshaies.
Perhaps you'll choose to visit Grand-Terre. The island is renowned for its pristine perfect beaches, turquoise lagoons and surfing hotspots.
Spend the morning relaxing at your hotel before your private transfer back to the airport. Why not extend your stay in the Caribbean with a few sunny days in Antigua?
